Why we do what we do
In South Africa, Zambia and Namibia we work with Reaching a Generation. This South African-based ministry’s mission is to reach children and influence the influencers of the next generation. This mission is accomplished with creative products, leadership development, community outreaches, provision of local church resources, feeding programs, and freshwater wells. Our on-the-ground team in Southern Africa helps to support villages in the Southern and Western Provinces of Zambia and the Zambezi Region of Namibia.
Reaching a Generation and Hope Ride are changing the world one child at a time.

HOPE RIDE OHIO - 2024
Hope Ride Ohio is taking place from August 18th to the 23rd and will cover 525 miles in the Columbus area! Registration and many more details coming soon!

- Tuesday – 100 miles
- Wednesday – 100 miles
- Thursday – 75 miles
- Friday – 50 miles
Regardless of skill level and past participation, we will work together to raise funds for community centers, churches, and education for children. Join us by cycling or donating – bring love, hope, and a future to Zambia and Namibia.
HOPE RIDE NC - 2024
Hope Ride North Carolina will be an epic 5 Day, 473 mile road-cycling challenge along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Not only will it change the lives of the riders who complete this entire journey, but their donations will also change the lives of so many in Zambia and Namibia.
- Day 1, Afton, VA to Roanoke, VA – 109 miles
- Day 2, Roanoke, VA to Fancy Gap, VA – 95 miles
- Day 3, Fancy Gap, VA to Blowing Rock, NC – 92 miles
- Day 4, Blowing Rock, NC to Asheville, NC – 91 miles
- Day 5, Asheville, NC to Cherokee, NC – 86 miles
Riders will be challenged on this endurance ride through the Blue Ridge Parkway. Check out the route map here.
HOPE RIDE AFRICA - 2025
Hope Ride Africa is a six-day, six-hundred-mile bicycle epic that travels through four nations to help raise funds in the support of missionary and humanitarian efforts in Zambia and Namibia.

About hope ride africa
In 2011, working in partnership with Reaching a Generation – the founder of Hope Ride, Pastor David Crabtree, connected his love of cycling with a passion for missions. This created a vehicle that provides living water for the soul and clean water for the villages in rural Southern Africa.
Beginning in South Africa, Hope Ride’s route includes a crossing of the Chobe National Wildlife Reserve in Botswana, where elephants roam free and horizons seem boundless. Namibia serves as a gateway to Zambia and the mighty Zambesi River, where the journey ends.

How can you get involved?
There are many ways you can support Hope Ride. Before anything, we need your prayers for protection and favor. Your prayers help support our team as we complete these rides to support the work taking place in Southern Africa.
Hope Rides is sponsored by businesses to cover the costs of preparing a team to ride – whether that is in Southern Africa or the USA. Sponsorships are available from $500 – $1500.00 and your logo with be featured on the team kit and t-shirts.
Due to the sponsorship funding model designed to cover the overhead costs of a Hope Ride, your giving goes directly to drilling wells, forming Sunday Schools and Churches, feeding the hungry, and reaching the most vulnerable in a broken world. $5,500.00 drills a life-giving well in Zambia or Namibia.

Interested in joining a Hope Ride? Please follow the below instructions for pre-registration and a member of the Hope Ride leadership team will follow up with you regarding the next steps for ride-specific registrations.
- Begin by filling out this pre-registration interest form.

- After your qualification discussion, the Hope Ride team will provide you with an event-specific registration link.
