Where Short-Term Missions Create Long-Term Impact

Join a short-term team experience in Southern Africa that’s thoughtfully planned, culturally respectful, and part of lasting work.

Not Just Another Mission Trip

Short-term mission trips can be powerful, but not all are designed to create lasting impact.

Even with the best intentions, teams sometimes do work that could have been done by local leaders.

We take a different approach.

At Reaching a Generation, your team steps into work that’s already established and built to last. Instead of creating something temporary, you become part of something ongoing.

Your time and gifts are directed where they matter most, strengthening the communities you step into.

That was one of the cool things for us.

"Every year we'd go back and say, 'Look what they did this year! Oh, they added that. They built that.' It's kind of cool to watch it."

Answering Your Biggest Questions

Planning a trip like this comes with a lot of questions.
Here are a few of the most common ones to help you get started.

How long are the trips?

Most teams come for 10-14 days days, but we can work with you to find a timeframe that fits your group.

Where will we stay?

Your team will stay at Shikwaru Lodge, our on-site property. It’s a comfortable space where your group can rest, connect, and reflect together.

What will our days look like?

Each day is thoughtfully planned and may include ministry, outreach, visiting different programs, and time to connect as a team. Every schedule is shaped around your group and where you can serve best.

Do we need specific skills?

Not necessarily. While we do our best to align teams with areas where they can contribute, the most important thing is a willingness to serve and learn.

Is it safe?

Your safety is so important to us. Our team is experienced in hosting groups, and we take care to create a secure and well-guided environment throughout your stay.

What does it cost?

Costs can vary depending on your team size, length of stay, and travel details. We’ll walk you through everything clearly as you start planning.

Will we be working alongside local leaders?

Yes. Everything we do is in partnership with local churches and community leaders. Your team will step into work that’s already being led and sustained locally.
